Palestine has always been a controversial and topical subject. While many Muslims are constantly suffering all over the world, turmoil in Palestine has been occupied territory for over 70 years. But what led it to this stage and where it is now? How was the leadership of this land passed through the Assyrians, Babylonians, Persians, Greeks, Romans, Arabs, Fatimids, Seljuk Turks, Crusaders, Egyptians, Mamelukes and Ottomans?
As well as looking at this topic from a historical lens, this public lecture will also discuss the lived on the ground experience of some who grew up in Palestine under occupation. Our guest speaker will take us through topics such as agriculture, real estate, business, transportation, education, religion, Jerusalem, Gaza strip, and attitudes moving forward of the Palestinian people.
in light of this event, We encourage you all to wear your Palestinian scarves around your neck.
Food and refreshments will be provided.
We will also be selling Palestinian items and all the profits will go to a relief organisation to support the Palestinian people.
