Muslim Leadership
Program
Launching MLP in Melbourne
We are super excited to launch this program in Melbourne! ISRA Academy aspires to be an agent for growth for young people and to be a facilitator for knowledge, connection to Allah, personal development and attaining leadership skills. We have seen all the amazing work ISRA Sydney has done over the last 3 years and have been yearning to replicate it with our Melbourne twist. Sydney set the bar high with the high calibre of mentee graduates and mentors! But we are up for the challenge as Melbourne, to deliver a program just as good, if not better!
What is MLP
The Muslim Leadership Program (MLP) is a mentoring program to support young Muslim men and women in their leadership to bring about positive change and enhance integration with the wider Australian society while being grounded in the Islamic framework. Mentees will learn about the Prophetic Leadership model, the art of media engagement and communication and the skills to build resilience and experience that can be applied in various contexts. The Program aims to provide networking opportunities for young Muslims, and their mentors, with community leaders, industry, and not-for-profit professionals.
The Program serves as a platform for participants to share their stories and experiences, and as a pipeline for young Muslims to enter various advocacy spaces. Importantly, the project provides a multi-generational sisterhood and brotherhood that empowers Muslims and prepares them for future leadership roles.
