Fitness and wellbeing facilities
A community café and kitchen
Dedicated spaces for Ramadan and i’tikaf
A welcoming environment for both Muslims and non-Muslims
- Why This Project Matters
Meeting a Critical Need for Our Growing Community
Sydney’s Muslim population is expanding fast while Islamic facilities remain limited. This Centre is a timely response to a clear community need.
- 44 percent growth in the Liverpool Muslim population since 2016
- New homes and Sydney’s second airport will bring thousands more
- Existing spaces are overcrowded or not designed for long-term use
- Youth need safe spaces rooted in Islamic values and identity
- Our Vision in Action
A Legacy of Knowledge, Leadership, and Community Service
For years, ISRA has been at the forefront of Islamic education and community engagement in Australia. From university programs to youth leadership and outreach to non-Muslims, ISRA continues to serve thousands with a mission rooted in faith, growth, and connection.

Real Stories from Those We Serve
The impact of ISRA is seen not only in numbers, but in lives changed. Here’s what our community says about how ISRA has touched their journey.
"This Centre will be the heart of the community, nurturing faith, sharing knowledge, and building unity."
Sh. Wesam Charkawi
The example of those who spend their wealth in the way of Allah is like a seed of grain which grows seven spikes. In each spike is a hundred grains. Allah multiplies the reward for whom He wills.
Surah Al-Baqarah (2:261),
The Holy Qur’an
