Feeling Overwhelmed by Work and Struggling to Connect with Your Children?

As a devoted Muslim father, you want the best for your children – both in this world (dunia) and the HereAfter (akhirah). However, balancing a busy work life with the responsibilities of fathering can be incredibly challenging. You may rely on the parenting techniques you learned from your parents and caring adult around you when you were child, but the world has changed, and these approaches no longer seem effective.

Arguments with your wife over different parenting styles and approaches to discipline can leave you feeling defeated. You try your best, but it often feels like it’s not enough. You might say, “Okay then, you deal with the kids,” and bury yourself in work, at the gym, or in other distractions to avoid the escalating tension in your home.

And then, you recall a hadith:

“When a man dies, his good deeds come to an end, except three: ongoing charity, beneficial knowledge, and a righteous child who will pray for him” (Sahih Muslim).

You take a deep breath and made sincere du’a to Allah in your salah to help and guide you in your journey as a father.

Whether you are new to fatherhood or facing new challenges as your children enter their teenage years, tension and misunderstandings can be frustrating and leave you feeling disconnected and stressed. This can impact your performance at work, making you wonder, “Subhanallah, what can I do? I know I can do better, but whatever I am doing right now is not working”

We can’t solve problems using the same mindset that created them in the first place. Otherwise, you’ll continue to live like a hamster running in a wheel.

If this resonates with you, then, let’s work together in our upcoming workshop designed specifically for Muslim fathers. Grounded in Islamic principles and human behaviour, this workshop will provide you with the tools and insights to expand your mindset. To help you in your journey to be an impactful, a heart-centred father and a leader in your life.
