This week Sheikh Haisam will cover key issues in getting married, the wedding preparations, (mahr, the Imam's role, marriage contract etc) and the encouragement of the prophet ﷺ for the walimah. Q&A and case studies for discussion in each session.

"And Allah has made for you your mates of your own nature, and made for you, out of them, sons and daughters and grandchildren, and provided for you sustenance of the best." [Noble Quran 16:72]
Rights and Responsibilities of husband and wife
This Thursday's session will continue with the rights and responsibilities for both the husband and wife according to Qur'an and sunnah of the Prophet ﷺ. Understand the concept of 'Qawama' in surah Nisa and explore the impact contemporary society has on traditional roles.

Anas ibn Malik reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Whoever Allah provides with a righteous wife, Allah has assisted him in half of his religion. Let him fear Allah regarding the second half.” (al-Mu’jam al-Awsaṭ 992)
