Have you always had an interest in the art of Arabic calligraphy but never had the platform to learn? Now is your opportunity. ISRA Melbourne is delighted to announce a 4 week Arabic calligraphy course. The course will be facilitated by the talented Shakeel Tariq who is a Melbourne raised and based calligraphy and graffiti artist. Combining his passion for graffiti with his skilled and beautiful Arabic calligraphic style, Shakeel creates stunning, meaningful and unique pieces of art. Some of his works are featured in the Islamic Museum of Australia, Islamic Council of Victoria and much more.

This will be a four-week course, materials will be inclusive of the fee.

6/03/21 Week 1: Introduction and covering the alphabet in the naskh style.

13/03/21 Week 2: Joining the first 14 letters to other letters.

20/03/21 Week 3: Joining of the last 14 letters to other letters.

27/03/21 Week 4: Writing words.
